The Hospital

About us

A new way of experiencing healthcare

The Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital is founded on a firm belief: medical excellence and patient wellbeing must form part of the same experience.

In Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid, set amidst the natural surroundings of the Casa de Campo, we have created a hospital where architecture, natural light, privacy and comfort are all integral to patient care. Each space has been designed to convey a sense of calm, promote rest and support patients throughout their care journey.

Our model combines high-precision medicine, advanced technology and highly qualified professionals with a warm and personalised approach. Because caring means diagnosing and treating with rigour, but also listening to, supporting and attending to each person with respect and compassion.

History and origins

The Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital has its roots in a history closely linked to medicine and caring for people. Its name pays tribute to Dr Publio Cordón, a leading figure in the development of private healthcare in Spain, whose career was characterised by scientific rigour, responsibility and a deeply human approach to healthcare.

That legacy lives on through Dr María Cordón. Following an extensive career in the management and development of one of the country’s leading hospital groups, she is spearheading a new project that brings together experience, innovation and a contemporary vision of medicine.

The Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital embodies the evolution of this history: a hospital designed to bring together leading specialists, advanced medical technology and an organisational model that fosters collaboration between disciplines, with the aim of providing precise, coordinated and personalised care.

At its heart lies a firm belief: the future of medicine depends not only on scientific advances, but also on the ability to listen, support and devote to each patient the time and care they need. Because clinical excellence begins with knowledge, but is realised through the way we care for patients.

A word of welcome

Our founder’s vision

The Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital embodies an approach to medicine that has guided my entire career: combining the most advanced knowledge with a willingness to listen, a caring approach and a deep respect for each individual.

My experience as a doctor and in leading major hospital projects has taught me that clinical excellence does not depend solely on technology or individual knowledge. It also stems from coordination between professionals, a shared culture and the ability to support each patient with clarity, sensitivity and time.

This hospital has been designed to provide thorough, personalised and effective care. It is a place where every clinical decision is guided by a holistic approach and where patients and their families can find expertise, trust and peace of mind.

Its name keeps alive the legacy of my father and my brother, Publio Cordón, as well as the values that continue to inspire this project: initiative, perseverance, responsibility and trust in people. Our aim is to ensure that innovation is always at the service of patient care and that every patient feels they are being looked after with the thoroughness, warmth and respect they deserve.

Our purpose

‘Heal with science, care with heart, surprise with humanity.’

We want to restore to medicine the time, meaning and compassion involved in caring for others. We see health as a treasure to be protected, nurtured and shared.

A milestone in our history

The opening ceremony

On 11 May 2026, the Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital held its official opening ceremony, presided over by Her Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Elena, and attended by officials and representatives from the health, institutional, business and academic sectors.

The ceremony brought together professionals, staff and guests to celebrate the vision that inspires the hospital and marked the start of a new chapter in its history.

During the ceremony, one of the wards at the Publio Cordón Memorial Hospital was named after Her Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Elena, in recognition of an occasion of special significance to the institution.
